About Apollo
Breed: American Bulldog
Age: 1 year
Size: Medium
Special Needs: Front leg deformities due to poor breeding
Meet Apollo – A One-of-a-Kind Soul with a Heart Full of Love
Apollo is a gentle, resilient pup who's been dealt a tough hand — but you'd never know it from the way he greets the world: with a wag, a nuzzle, and an open heart.
Born with front leg abnormalities likely caused by poor breeding practices, Apollo moves differently than most dogs — but his spirit is just as strong (maybe stronger). He's mobile and able to get around, though his gait is wobbly and unbalanced. While he may need support or accommodations as he ages, what he needs most right now is someone to see past the imperfections and into his incredible heart.
Apollo's Personality:
Sweet, sensitive, and affectionate
Quietly observant — he loves being near his people
Patient and brave as he navigates the world in his own unique way
Gets along well with calm, respectful dogs
Medical Info:
Apollo's front leg issues are a result of poor breeding, and while he's stable for now, we don't know what the future holds. He may develop arthritis, mobility challenges, or need additional care as he gets older. We'll be honest: this is a journey with some unknowns. But it's also one filled with so much potential for joy, love, and connection.
Ideal Home:
A low-key, loving household without too many stairs or slippery surfaces
Someone open to working with a vet or specialist to support Apollo's comfort as he ages
A patient, kind adopter who values heart over perfection and understands that special needs dogs are just as worthy of love (if not more)
A home with adults or older children.
Apollo doesn't want pity. He wants love and support. He wants to be someone's quiet shadow, their gentle companion, their reminder that beauty can be found in resilience and love in the most unexpected places.
