Meet Bagpipe!

Bagpipe is a 3 month old, ~20-pound fluffy Border Collie mix who was rescued alongside his brother, Fiddle. Bagpipe was a teeny bit hesitant on day one, but by day two Bagpipe's real self emerged: cheerful, affectionate, playful, and incredibly loving.

Bagpipe follows a dependable daily rhythm in his foster home. He wakes up around 7am for a potty break, eats breakfast with great enthusiasm, then launches into a morning of play—sometimes with toys, sometimes with his brother, and sometimes with a stray leaf or stick from the yard. After about 20 minutes, he goes out again for potty time. Then it's more play and a nap, repeating this cycle at lunchtime and in the early evening. His final potty break is around 10pm before he sleeps in his open crate and pen for the night.

Bagpipe is equal parts spirited and snuggly. He loves to play with his brother and their older Husky foster sibling, though he tends to be the first one to get sleepy and curl up for a cuddle. While Fiddle is the more outgoing of the pair, Bagpipe is the resident sweetheart—affectionate, gentle, and always ready to make himself at home on your lap. He barks only during play and doesn't react to people walking by or guests coming in.

He's making good progress on house training. He knows to potty outside but will still have accidents if he isn't brought out consistently. He's learning crate time, uses the doggy door, and is happily chewing only on appropriate items like toys and bones. Like any pup his age, he's teething and will chew when bored, but he catches on quickly with guidance.

Bagpipe hasn't started leash walks yet, but he's friendly with people and dogs and plays beautifully with his foster's 50-pound dog. He would thrive with an energetic family or couple, and another playful dog in the home would be a bonus.

His foster's favorite thing about him is how he and Fiddle play endless games of keep-away, only to fall asleep mid-chew when given a bully stick or pig ear.

Bagpipe is adorable, fluffy, cuddly, and endlessly lovable. He is ready to bring joy, laughter, and puppy charm to his forever home.
