Meet Bandana
At just 12 lbs, Bandana is a pint-sized bundle of personality— a 1–2 year old Beagle/Terrier mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for his people. This little guy starts every day with a smile (and a wag). He wakes up around 7am, heads outside for a quick potty break, and then enjoys breakfast followed by a 30-minute walk. After that, it's time to play with his foster brother (a mini poodle) or his toys before settling in for some lounging while his foster parent works from home. Evenings include another walk, dinner, and plenty of couch cuddles before bedtime in his crate, where he sleeps quietly through the night.
When Bandana first arrived, he was a bit shy and cautious—but once he felt safe, his true personality came shining through. He's now a total velcro dog who loves to be near his people. If you're busy, no problem— he'll find a sunny spot and soak up some rays until you're ready for snuggle time again. He's affectionate, loving, and eager to please, but also independent enough to handle being left alone for short periods.
Bandana adores other dogs, especially his foster's 14-lb poodle, and follows him everywhere and likes to snuggle up next to him to snooze. He hasn't met many dogs off-leash, but with proper introductions, he's likely to do well. He's also met neighbors and visitors— he might bark at first, but quickly melts hearts by flopping his little body next to them for attention.
This guy is the perfect mix of playful and chill. He enjoys zoomies, walks, and toy time, but once his energy is spent, he's all about curling up for a nap. He walks well on leash (with a bit of pulling from excitement) and, true to his Beagle side, loves to chase squirrels or the occasional cat that crosses his path - all in good fun, of course!
Bandana is crate trained but still working on his house manners— he needs frequent potty breaks, so his foster uses a belly band indoors for now. With that said, now that he is neutered, training should go much better! He can be a bit mischievous when left to his own devices (wooden stairs and glasses seem extra tempting!), but he's learning quickly and responds well to gentle correction. He's a youngster and definitely still a bit of a puppy!
His ideal home would be with someone who enjoys walks or hikes and has time for play and companionship. He'd also be a great fit for a family with kids who can match his affectionate energy.
Favorite things: walks, naps in sunny spots, following his foster brother everywhere, and sleeping on his back with all four paws in the air.
In short: Bandana is a lovable, goofy little guy with a heart full of devotion and a tail that never stops wagging. With continued patience and training, he's sure to become someone's most loyal and entertaining best friend.
