About BELLA

Meet Bella! Bella is such an intelligent dog. She was already potty trained when she come to our home and will bark at you to signal she needs outside. Under the word "play" in the dictionary is a picture of Bella! Since working with this high energy girl, boy, does she love her walks. She rarely pulls during our walks now. If she does, I change direction immediately and that solves that. She loves fetch and tug of war- which she generally wins! Haha- I highly recommend someone that is active and loves to walk or run. She is great with people and kids and wants to play. We are currently working on no jumping with much improvement and leave it command. She gets very excited when passing strange dogs but I have no doubt with patience and consistency she will make it through this phase! My direction to her when we encounter other dogs is "leave it" and she is almost 100% now. She is treat- driven so that is a huge plus. When she hears me say "good girl" that now has become her signal sit and get a treat while we walk. Haha! She has also learned that she must sit at the door and wait for my okay command to go out the door. I use the command all done and sign language to signal that I am finished playing at the moment which she has adapted very well to this command. She will use the crate but much prefers cuddling up with me. Her downfall is that she cannot distinguish between her toys and my house slippers! Because of her energy and strength, I could see her with older children, 10+ and other dogs with her energy level to play with, in my humble opinion.
