Meet Ben, a friendly and energetic 4-year-old male looking for a new home where he can get the time, attention, and activity he deserves. His owner has had him for two years but recently started working full-time and can no longer give him the care he needs.

Living Situation: Primarily indoors

Other Pets: Has lived with cats and kids

History: Obtained from an individual in Sacramento

Behavior & Temperament Children: Friendly

Visitors: Barks at first, then approaches to sniff; often kept separate initially due to barking

Other Dogs/People: Barks when he sees them

Mouthiness: Play nips when excited — does not break skin

Handling/Sharing: Allows people to take food and toys

Personality: Energetic, jumps up when excited, affectionate with his people

Reason for Rehoming Owner is unable to meet his energy and time needs due to work changes. Ben would thrive in a home where someone can provide structure, training, and engagement.

All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
