About Bertha
WANTED: A Forever Home for a Senior Queen Who Always Gets Her Way
Hi there, I'm Bertha—a senior lady with plenty of life and love still in me. Don't let the number fool you—I've still got a silly streak, and I'll nudge you along the way (literally) or plop myself right on your foot until I get what I want. Spoiler: I always get my way.
My past wasn't kind. I was left to die after being diagnosed with pyometra, and even earlier in life, I was shot. The bullets are still in my body today—a reminder of what I've survived. To make things even harder, I needed emergency surgery to be spayed—but I pulled through, I healed up, and now I'm ready for the happy ending I've always deserved.
Right now, I'm staying with a wonderful foster who loves me, but what I really want is a home of my own—someone who will adore my quirks, laugh at my silliness, and spoil me the way a queen deserves.
Here's what you get with me: ✔ A silly, loving personality that will keep you smiling every day ✔ A loyal senior girl who just wants to be by your side (or on your foot) ❤️ ✔ Heartworm negative and healthy after my surgery ✔ Proof that survivors are the strongest souls ✔ The unconditional love only a dog who's seen the worst can give
I may not be a puppy, but I've got wisdom, heart, and just the right amount of sass. All I need now is someone to see past my scars and see me for who I am: Bertha, your forever silly sidekick.
