Are you looking for a small 11 pound, cute little dog to make the perfect companion? You are in the right place! Meet Bingo. He is a well behaved little chiweenie with a personality that will melt your heart.



Bingo is 5 years old and was found as a stray who ended up in the shelter where he wasn't coping too well. He was very overwhelmed and scared but fortunately the shelter contacted our rescue and Bingo came to our foster home where he had time to decompress, heal from his neuter surgery, be treated for hookworms and learn to let go and soak up all the love and attention he deserves. He sure is a fast learner!



This sweet guy really has come out of his shell and he only has two things in his daily agenda: "to love" and "to be loved" and he sure works hard to accomplish both. Bingo enjoys walks and to chill with his people on the couch, begging for belly rubs. He is mostly housebroken and will only have an accident if you forget to let him out. He does well in the crate and also in the car. He's getting along with his foster sister and so far doesn't seem to react to cats. He is the perfect level of calm and quiet when you're on the couch (as long as he's got your attention!) but also playful and very active when he's happy. We've only heard him growl/bark very little when someone is at the door, but he has welcomed every guest that we've had with a very sweet and friendly disposition.



This guy LOVES to be following foster mom around, so the perfect adopter for Bingo will be ok with him being their shadow at all possible times of the day; and they'll be able to provide him with LOTS of attention and a yard to run around. He seems to like older kids and does try to initiate playtime with other dogs, so while he would probably do great as an only dog, another playful pup would be a plus!

Being non-profit, we rely on generous individuals like yourselves to help save these fur babies. Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.
