Bug may look like a tough cookie, but inside she's a soft, snuggly sweetheart who adores her humans. At 4 years-old and 45 pounds, this Staffordshire Bull Terrier starts her day by greeting you with cuddles and then promptly moving on to the next person to let them have a turn.

Bug is a great roommate — she's house-trained and crate-trained, treating her kennel as a safe space. She adjusted quickly to her new foster home, happy to explore. She's happiest when keeping you company through your daily routine, and will do best with humans who are home often.

Bug is typically fine when she sees other dogs while walking, but will bark if she is surprised by them, so her foster family is helping with training. She does not have much experience with kids, but does not react so far. Bug cannot live with cats.

Don't let her short legs fool you — she's fast, agile, and lives for a good game of fetch. She will require a home that has a yard (even a small one with a low fence) where she can burn off energy in short bursts. At the end of the day, she's happy to play with her favorite rubber ball that she chews like a piece of gum and watch nighttime TV, or as she sees it, uninterrupted petting time.

She's incredibly expressive, leans into every pet, and even smiles when she's especially content. Her bark might surprise you — it's deep and protective — but it only comes out when she's alerting you to something unusual.

The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional's recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal's history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
