Meet Captain Jack Sparrow
Captain is anything BUT pirate-like ♥️ He's extremely sweet, laid-back and easy. He would be great in a variety of homes.
Captain is smaller than he looks in photos; he has a gorgeous curly, thick Aussie coat and a trademark wiggle-nubbin he's usually wagging!
Captain has a wonderful disposition for a purebred Aussie, not a reactive bone in his body he's just wanting to be petted and loved on.
Captain will need more leash training but he doesn't bark at other dogs while walking. So far he only barked one time out the window at the mail truck ☺️
Captain is housebroken; he had a long ride to Dallas but he took care of business in front yard then back. He was perfectly behaved in the car without a crate; he just settled in and looked out the window.
Captain has a moderate energy level, he's definitely cool to mellow out near you and chill for as long as you need, but he also LOVES exploring in the backyard and interacting with other dogs.
Captain is not at all Alpha; he will defer to Alpha Male dogs and females. He is all about love not war
If you've been searching for a perfect companion-pet who will want to fulfill your needs. He's great for walks but should work his way up to jogging. He shows a little interest in toys but is more interested in humans and other dogs.
Captain would do well with children who are also moderately active.
If Captain seems like the correct new BFF for you please complete our application on the website below then

General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Our philosophy is to rescue highly adoptable dogs, have them live kennel-free in private homes for temperament assessments and individual personalities.
We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD.
