About DAPHNE

Meet Daphne
At 4 years old and 110 pounds of pure gentleness, Daphne is a gorgeous Mastiff who's ready to start a brand-new chapter of her life. She was found by a kind Samaritan who took her in for a few days and quickly discovered just how sweet this big girl really is.

It's clear Daphne hasn't always known love—she was likely used for breeding—and when you see her, you can tell she still needs to gain a little weight and build her strength back up. But what she lacks in pounds, she makes up for in heart. Every tail wag and lean-in cuddle shows just how much she wants to connect and be loved.

Daphne is calm, affectionate, and loves attention from people. She's the type of dog who will happily spend her day relaxing by your side, soaking up belly rubs and quiet companionship.

Because of her size and her gentle-but-strong presence, Daphne would do best in a home with older kids and someone familiar with large or Mastiff-type breeds. She's low- to medium-energy but will benefit from daily walks, enrichment toys, and positive reinforcement training to help her stay happy and engaged.

Daphne did well living with other dogs in her finder's home, though she preferred to have her person's attention to herself—so she may do best as the only dog or with slow, structured introductions.

She's food-motivated, takes treats with a soft mouth, and already knows how to "sit." Most importantly, she's ready to be loved and treated like family—something she's been waiting her whole life for.
