Diesel VII is an owner surrender looking for a new home.

Hi! My name is Diesel VII ! I am a handsome 9 year old flashy brindle boy that is an owner surrender due to people moving into my home and my owner unable to financially care for me. I am described as smart, calm, protective, playful, affectionate, and obedient! I like to be the protector when at home but do well with strangers when being boarded or being watched by friends! I prefer people to ask my owner to touch me because I do not like strangers coming up to touch me without notice. I do not like to be poked at or bothered, so it would be best if I am in a home with no kids so I can relax. It is said that I am dog friendly and have had exposure to a shitzu, lab, and rottweiler with no issues. I have only seen cats from a distance and show signs of wanting to chase them so a cat free home would be best! I am house trained, crate trained, know basic commands, and at night I sleep in my crate in the living room but have slept on a dog bed before. If the humans must be away, I don't like to be alone but remain calm in my crate and wait for the humans to come back. When outside I do not attempt to jump fences/gates but I am curious what is under the grass and will dig to find out. I am scared of fireworks and do not like vacuums or being brushed with deshedding brushes. Some of my favorite things are playing tug of war, playing fetch, chewing bones, laying near the humans, and rough house play when the human initiates it! My current owner says I am a "sweet dog once you get to know me" and "once I realize you're taking care of me, I will show you love, loyalty, and protection"!
