PUPDATE: Adoptable Elliott is a 1 YO pint sized pup who is currently in foster on Long Island, and is doing great. He's dog-friendly, full of personality and thinks he's part cat (though he hasn't met one yet). He loves hanging out by the fire pit, climbing on anything he can reach, yes, even the kitchen table, and snuggling up on the couch when it's time to relax. In honor of Deaf Dog Awareness Week, meet Elliot!
This adorable little dude found himself in a rural shelter, where staff quickly realized he was deaf. Without a veterinary team to get him adoption-ready, his future looked uncertain—until our rescue stepped in.
At about 1 year old and 30lbs, he's the perfect pint-sized companion showing the world that deaf dogs hear with their hearts.
