Meet Itsy!

This tiny 12–14 week old Chi mix may be small (just over 3 lbs!) but he's big on sweetness. Itsy came to us at just four weeks old along with his mama, Spider, and sister, Bitsy. Mama Spider is a petite 5 lb Mal-Shih, so while Itsy looks like a little Chihuahua, there are some other small-but-mighty genes in the mix!

Itsy is the quieter, gentler half of his sibling duo. While Bitsy barrels through life full of spunk and confidence, Itsy prefers to take things at his own pace. He startles easily and can be shy in new situations, but once he feels safe, he'll melt right into your arms for a good cuddle. His foster family says he's a total "love bug" who just wants to be near his person — and once you see those soulful eyes looking up at you, it's game over.

At home, Itsy enjoys a calm, predictable routine. He sleeps peacefully through the night in a crate with his mama and sister, and in the morning he heads outside for potty time (with a little help getting there — his foster carries him to the designated area so he doesn't stop to potty early on the way!). He's doing great with his pee pad training, loves playing with soft toys, and is learning that big dogs aren't so scary after all.

Itsy isn't quite ready for big adventures like walks yet, but he's eager to explore the world — one gentle step at a time. He'd do best in a quieter home where he can feel safe and secure. Once he's settled in and knows he's loved, his sweet personality will blossom even more.

Itsy may be little, but his love is enormous — and he's ready to share it with the lucky person who gets to call him theirs.
