About Jack

Meet Jack! This sweet boy was found running as a stray in a known dumping area, but thanks to a Good Samaritan, he's now safe with Worthy Dog. Jack quickly proved himself to be a happy, affectionate pup who adjusted quickly to home life.

Jack is currently being fostered by Jennifer and their two small, playful dogs. He recently spent a long holiday weekend in a home that included multiple large dogs, a dog-savvy cat, and kids (ages 9 and 12), and did wonderfully there, too. Jack is easygoing with new dogs, gentle with kids, and indifferent to cats, so the total package.

Confident meeting new people and eager to please, Jack is treat-motivated, trainable, and happy to share his toys and snacks. With his medium energy level, he enjoys romping in the yard with his pup pals or playing with toys, but he's just as content curling up on the couch for some downtime.

Jack gets two walks a day and does well on leash once he's had a few sniffs to settle in. He's still a bit nervous around traffic, heavy activity, and loud noises, so he'd do best in a quieter, suburban setting rather than a busy city environment. Jack is crate-trained, house-trained, and sleeps soundly through the night and loves to cuddle

His foster mom, Jennifer, shared this update:

"He's got such a cool temperament—just a loving, sweet pup who wants to hang with his people and get scratches. He LOVES people and enjoys making new friends. He's very patient with the boys and plays when they initiate but also knows when to stop when they're done. He doesn't try to steal their food and loves playing chase in the yard.

Jack has some energy and needs walks a couple of times a day, but after that, he's pretty chill. While he's good on leash overall, he gets really nervous when we walk along a busy road and is scared of loud noises and buses, but as soon as we get off the main road, he calms down a lot. He would definitely do best in an area without busy roads or city."

This happy boy loves everyone he meets and will make a wonderful family companion. He'd especially enjoy a pup or kid playmate to share life's adventures.
