Meet Laila Rose! Fostered in South Carolina

This stunning 2–3-year-old Dutch Shepherd is currently being fostered in South Carolina — and she's ready to impress!

#madloveLailaRose may have been picked up as a stray, but she clearly has some serious training under her belt (off leash heel, center heel, center heel into a downstay, sit, down, stay, and confidence on various surfaces). She's housebroken, crate trained, and incredibly handler-focused. In fact, her crate is her happy place — she loves to settle in and relax when it's time to unwind.

She's also great with other dogs and enjoys calm canine company. Cats are untested, and small children have made her a bit nervous and on high alert, so a home with older kids or adults would likely be her best fit.

Laila Rose rides beautifully in the car (you'd hardly know she's back there!) and recently joined her foster for a trip to Tractor Supply where she was the picture of good behavior: neutral, well-mannered, and walking politely right next to the shopping cart.

And when it's time for fun? ! She will fetch for as long as you'll throw for her.

MAD is an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. Our mailing address is in Michigan, however, our dogs are in private foster homes across the continental US. The state location of each dog is posted with the name of the pet in the title description. We do not disclose exact location of the dogs for the safety of our foster homes and the dogs. If you are located within 4 hours of the pet, please be prepared to pick up the pet. For greater distances, MAD does offer transport assistance for up to 350 miles for the adopter, however transport is primarily on the responsibility of the adopter.
