About MAISIE

Meet Maisie!

Maisie is a 6-year-old Chow mix who recently came to PAC after being surrendered on 10/23/25. She had spent four years in a loving home, but suddenly struggled with the kids and family dog. Her previous family describes her as a ball of energy, loyal, and someone who loves playing outside and going on walks. She already knows sit, stay, shake, and lay down.

Maisie is a quiet, sensitive dog who may seem aloof or sad at first. In her kennel, she can appear unsure and cautious, but this is just her way of adjusting to a new environment. Once she builds trust, she has the potential to be a devoted, loving companion.

She would do best in a home without children under 15, with a patient owner who can help her build confidence through positive reinforcement, obedience training, and scent games. A fenced yard and leash walks will help her feel secure while she bonds with her humans.

Maisie may need some time to open up, but with patience and understanding, she will reward her family with loyalty, love, and quiet companionship.

Special Notes:

Sensitive and selective, needs calm home

Responds well to training and mental stimulation

Loves outdoor time and gentle walks

Not suitable for homes with young children
