NEW INTAKE 11/21/2025: Perla - female - 6 years old - 6.2 pounds - Yorkie
Reason for intake: Perla came in with Cabbie. They came to us when their mommy passed away. They are both very sweet girls. Perla has significant hair loss and black skin which leads us to believe she has black skin disease (alopecia X) or maybe it's a thyroid issue. We did go ahead and start her on melatonin in case it is black skin disease, which is basically a vitamin deficiency. They are heading to our vet the week of 11/24/2025. With the holidays coming up, it may be after Thanksgiving before we post them for adoption. Stay tuned!
NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption.
