About Petey
Meet Petey – A Senior Gentleman Searching for a Soft Place to Land Petey is a 14-year-old Maltese mix who was found wandering near Highway 276 and Rochelle Road in Rockwall on 11/14/25. His owners never came to reclaim him and he is now looking forward to finding a new fur-ever family to love. Petey may be a senior, but he has plenty of pep in his step and heart left to share. He's a gentle, easygoing little guy who would thrive in a calm, quiet home where he can enjoy cozy naps, soft blankets, and the companionship of someone who appreciates the sweetness of an older dog. Senior pets like Petey often get overlooked, but they make some of the most devoted companions. All this sweet boy wants now is safety, love, and a warm place to rest. Petey's adoption fee is $125 which includes his neuter, microchip, rabies vaccination and heartworm test. He is already neutered and microchipped, but we have him scheduled for his rabies vaccine and heartworm test on Wednesday December 3rd, 2025. These services are included in his adoption fee. Interested in giving Petey the soft landing he deserves? Apply online at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Meet and greets will be scheduled with approved online adopters only and in the order in which they have been received.
