INSIGHTS FROM MY ADVENTURE BUDDIES & FOSTER FRIENDS:
`Roxanne was energetic at first, but once we got out on the walk she calmed down and didn't pull as much. She seems to get stressed out and anxious in busier public spaces, so she much preferred hanging out at a cafe with us. She did not react to other dogs or children, and was very gentle taking treats from us. Once we got settled, she laid down and relaxed. She loves belly rubs!! She knows the 'sit' command well. She tried to jump on us a few times when we held food, but quickly got down and sat when told to. She needed some reassurance getting in and out of the car. She will be a great addition to families that can give her the playtime and attention she needs, and also keep working with her on training.`

`Roxanne is a delight! She's super energetic, curious, and playful. She hopped right in the car when I picked her up, and right out again after the short drive to my apartment complex. She is a very strong puller on leash but does better in new areas with interesting smells (the woods) and in environments where you don't have go in a straight line (when I kept changing directions, she pulled less and paid more attention). After a walk, we hung out in my apartment for about 2.5 hours. In this time, she found and tried out every toy my dog has (he was at daycare). She loves food/treat related challenges: puzzle feeders, ball feeders, snuffle mats, frozen kong. She had a blast with a squeaky ball (and the ones that had food she could get out) but didn't pay much attention to the other balls, and she really enjoyed chewing a braided bully stick. She kept herself busy this whole time, occasionally settling next to me on the sofa to chew for a bit. She did start digging at the sofa at one point but was easily redirected. She is super curious! It's so much fun watching her sniff around to discover treats - she loves to use her nose!`

`Miss "Roxie" Roxanne is a sweet, fun-loving girl who's always ready for adventure! From the moment she hopped in the car, she showed her silly side, rolling around the back seat and sticking her head out of the window to take in all the smells. At the farm, Roxie was so happy to run, explore, and play off leash, always circling back to check in. She lit up meeting Mojo and Cookie, the Great Pyrenees pups, and happily raced alongside them at the fence. She even got curious about the alpacas, though her excitement made it clear it was time for a trail walk instead! Roxie is strong on leash but quickly settled into a good rhythm, taking in all the sights with enthusiasm. Afterward, she napped soundly in the car, which I took as a sign of a successful day out! This sweet girl would thrive in a home filled with love, play, and plenty of adventure.`

`Roxanne is such a sweetheart! She is very loving without licking and loves to have her face petted and scratched. She leaned her gorgeous wrinkly head into my hand whenever I reached for her. We went for a two mile hike in the woods and she was great with her gentle leader harness on. She was interested in squirrels and wanted to chase a deer, but was able to be redirected. She was interested in the dogs we passed but didn't bark or lunge. We encountered a dog off leash who ran right up to her and she handled it in a beautiful playful but calm manner. She's such a good girl!`

`She was amazing. The best demeanor sweetest dog. Has a lot of good energy and I took her hiking and running around outside. Right after that she becomes a cuddly lap dog. She belongs in a great home with fun people. Great around the kids we saw and good with other dogs too. I spent every moment with her and she is sweet as could be. I carried her numerous times to get her in my car and she was a doll. She also did over 400 miles in my truck in a weekend and slept like a baby through all of it. With some very basic training, she will be an absolutely perfect family or individual dog. She is amazing, couldn't say anything better and I hope she finds the best forever home cause she deserves it.`
