SHUTTERBUG • 2 years • 17 lbs • Schnoodle • Non-Shedding Coat

Shutterbug is a gentle, loving little companion with a silky, non-shedding coat and a heart that wants nothing more than to stay close to her people. Rescued from the shelter, she has slipped easily into home life and is now ready for a family of her own to adore.

Daily Rhythm & Routine

Shutterbug wakes up whenever her people do— any time between 5:30 and 7:00am— and starts her day with a peaceful 20-minute walk around the neighborhood. Once she's back inside, she eats breakfast and then settles into her favorite routine: quietly following her humans from room to room and curling up right beside them while they work.

She enjoys stretching her legs in the backyard or going on another walk around midday, again around 5:00pm, and once more at 9:00pm. After her early-evening walk she has dinner and spends the rest of the evening lounging near her family. She sleeps in her crate downstairs at night and rests quietly once she's settled in.

Personality & Progress

Shutterbug arrived with a sweet, soft nature, and she has stayed remarkably consistent— she's gentle, affectionate, and devoted. She is very much a velcro dog.She spends her days in the same room as her foster family, where she relaxes easily and rarely makes a sound.

She loves companionship, thrives when included, and feels most at ease when she has her people nearby. She's not overly playful, but she enjoys little bursts of fun—especially when someone pretends to chase her. When that happens, she gets wonderfully excited and zooms around with surprising speed.

With Kids, Pets, and New Friends

Shutterbug gets along well with other dogs of her size; she hasn't met any large dogs yet while in the rescue. She hasn't been around children younger than teens, but has a gentle nature that suggests she would do well with respectful children.

Energy Level & Playfulness

Shutterbug matches the energy of her home. If someone is ready to play, she becomes lively and animated, running little circles with happy excitement. When the household is quiet, she settles immediately and naps beside her humans. She's an easy dog to live with— neither overly energetic nor overly lazy, but balanced and attentive to the environment around her.

Walking Manners

She loves her walks and gets thrilled when she hears the words, "Want to go for a walk?" Her tail starts wagging wildly and she hops in excitement. She does pull on the leash, but given her small size, she's easy to redirect. She barks at other dogs but it's just out of excitement and a desire to make friends.

One of her endearing quirks is that when she decides a walk is complete, she gently but clearly leads you back toward home.

House Training & Crate Habits

Shutterbug is fully housetrained and hasn't had a single accident in her foster home. She isn't a big fan of going into her crate at night, but once she's inside, she settles and sleeps quietly until morning.

Behavior Notes

Shutterbug doesn't chew, dig, or get into trouble. As is typical of her breed, she will bark at strange noises, etc, but settles quickly.

Ideal Home

Shutterbug will thrive in a home that enjoys having a dog nearby throughout the day and appreciates her companionship. She blossoms when she can be included in daily activities, whether lounging during work hours or joining evening family time. She loves attention, enjoys being part of the action, and feels her best when she can stay close to her people.

What Makes Her Special

She is incredibly sweet, wonderfully low-maintenance, and has a deeply loving temperament. Her foster family describes her as one of the kindest, easiest companion dogs they've ever met. Any family who adopts her will feel lucky to have such a gentle little shadow at their side.

Shutterbug is ready to become someone's devoted little companion. She offers kindness, loyalty, and quiet joy in every moment—and she's hoping for a family who will cherish the bond she loves to build.
